Afghanistan documentary Restrepo opens in US movie theatres

Tim Hetherington won the 2008 Rory Peck Award for Features for his eyewitness account of the daily struggles faced by a platoon of US soldiers in Afghanistan's Korengal valley. Restrepo is the feature length version of the story which Tim co-directed with author Sebastian Junger.

The film has already received widespread critical acclaim including the Grand Jury Prize for Documentary at this year's Sundance Film Festival. It comes to the UK and Europe later in the year.
