This is what we're about

tony.jpg (14254 bytes)The Trust has just made a grant of £7,600 to pay two years schooling for Tony Vincent's two youngest sons, Ashley (12), and Bradley (10). The intention is to continue payments for the full five years remaining for their education. Eldest son, Tyler, is finishing his last year at school, speaks fluent English, Afrikaans and Khoisa and would like to be a freelance cameraman.

This grant is in line with a change in emphasis in the Trusts' grant giving policy. Until now grants have, of necessity, been small. We have changed our policy - not because we have suddenly become a wealthy charity - we still rely on sponsorship and charitable donations and operate a very small office. However, we feel that in order to really make an impact, grants should, wherever possible, be more substantial and with specific aims in mind.

Tony Vincent was killed in January 1999 when the microlite from which he was filming aerial shots crashed. He had been filming a wildlife program in Port Elizabeth, Queenstown for the East Cape Tourism Board.
